On July 30, Bryan Read, Director of International, Innovation, and Industry Relations, and Shaun Li, International Strategy Advisor from Whitireia & WelTec, visited NJIT. Deputy Chairman of University Council Pu Lijie warmly welcomed them, highlighting NJIT’s commitment to international partnerships as part of our goal to become a leading application-oriented university.
Pu expressed hopes for expanded collaboration with New Zealand universities, building on partnerships across over 30 universities worldwide. Read introduced Whitireia & WelTec’s unique programs and curriculum, emphasizing shared goals in applied education. Both parties discussed joint programs, credit recognition, and research initiatives, agreeing to formalize cooperation with an upcoming memorandum of understanding.
Representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges participated in the meeting.
