On March 1, NJIT convened the 2024 Internationalization Conference to clarify future international development strategies and streamline coordination mechanisms. The conference was presided by Pu Lijie, Deputy Chairman of University Council.
Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange summarized NJIT’s recent international engagement; outlined 2024 working plans based on the Fourth Party Congress, and provided recommendations for schools on internationalization development. The representative from the School of International Education presented on the current and future development of international students education.
Pu recognized past achievements on internationalization and emphasized the need for higher-level international cooperation. He outlined three key ideas: updating awareness, actively pursuing innovative development, and embedding internationalization in teaching and research to enhance academic strengths.
Attendees included administrative leaders and internationalization staff from educational schools, along with staff from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and School of International Education.
