Recently, NJIT President Zhang Yangfei hosted President Liu Jun of the City University of Macau, and Mr. Gu Yu, Chairman of the Bethune Medical Foundation in Canada, for a strategic meeting on collaborations in faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and expert recruitment. Following the discussion, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two universities.
Zhang expressed warm welcome and sincere gratitude for the support from City University of Macau, emphasizing commonalities in educational goals and the collaborative potential for mutually beneficial initiatives in academic exchange, research collaboration, and platform development.
Liu noted the positive significance of cooperative initiatives, including short-term study programs and master degree program in Applied Linguistics and Data Science, as starting points to broaden the partnership. Gu also shared his support for fostering stronger ties between institutions and advancing quality education.
Before the meeting, Zhang guided the visitors on a campus tour to highlight the school’s development.
Key representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and School of Information and Communication Engineering accompanied the visit.
