Online Meeting Held between NJIT and Kyrgyz National University

On January 12, NJIT held an online meeting with Kyrgyz National University (KNU) to discuss future collaboration. NJIT Deputy Chairman of University Council Pu Lijie and KNU Vice President Beksultanov Jenish Tunkatarovich led the discussion, along with directors from the international cooperation offices.

Pu extended greetings and New Year wishes to KNU colleagues, emphasizing Kyrgyzstan’s significance in the Belt and Road Initiative and the importance of advancing collaborative efforts in education, research, and cultural exchange. Tunkatarovich outlined KNU’s longstanding partnerships with Chinese institutions under the Initiative. He hoped this meeting would foster innovative and deeper cooperation.

On the meeting, NJIT International Office shared details about the partnership plans, and both parties agreed to sign a formal Memorandum of Understanding. Upcoming initiatives include a “2+2” joint degree program, research center, industry partnerships, and student internships.
